We are an action- and fun-oriented group of 170+ members that has been around for 45 years and still going strong. Our membership enjoys skiing, snowboarding, and other adventurous activities. … We soon realized that meeting people wasn’t as easy as it once was; we weren’t hanging out at bars, online dating wasn’t working, and whoever said you could meet people at the grocery store did not have 3 kids at their feet! What we needed were regularly scheduled activities that were fun, social, non-intimidating, and close to home! And that’s when we started Suburban Diversions.

Lets come together, get to know one another and have fun! We are a group of unlikely friends that enjoy a diverse amount of activities ranging from drinks and games of pool, to play-dates, to book clubs, movies, camping, dining out and anything fun! Singles, married, gay, straight, parents, athletes, nerds all our welcome to the congregation of suburbanism.

… But let's admit it ... it can feel awkward just to strike up a conversation with another "dude" at a grocery store, bar or the like! We'll meet at convenient locations for those in the north, NW burbs and Chicago (off the interstate for those coming from further) where there is pool, darts, air hockey, and more. We'll have some drinks (if you drink), play pool, darts, foosball, etc., maybe keep an eye on the sports on TV if you are into that, and network and talk about stuff guys talk about. …
